After her performance at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday failed to generate much buzz, this was another opportunity to get fans excited about her new album, Bionic, which arrived in stores today. So how did she do?
Before performing, Aguilera chatted briefly with NBC’s Matt Lauer. Turns out their respective kids have very different tastes in music: Her son likes cutting-edge electro, his is more of a Sesame Street guy. Then it was on to the stage. Aguilera opened with an abbreviated take on Bionic‘s title track, followed by current single “Not Myself Tonight.” Neither performance blew me away — ultimately, these just aren’t particularly memorable songs — but she was definitely in better voice than she was on Sunday. Later in the broadcast, Aguilera reached back to 2002-2003′s “Fighter” and “Beautiful.” Both tunes sounded as fun and empowering as ever. Whatever you think of her new work, it was a reminder not to underestimate Aguilera’s back catalog.

She did such a great job here. I can’t believe some people are trying to tear her down right now. There is so much negativity out there for her and there really is no reason for it. Bionic is such a fun album. I just bought it and the Itunes deluxe lp version is so amazing. With the packaging, the videos, the photos, and graphic visualizer it really make’s listening to the album a fun experience and really worth the money. Not to mention all the extra songs you get are really incredible. The album is like Stripped 2.0 but filtered in a more fun and uplifting way. Great job Christina.

I dunno about anyone else…I REALLY dig Bionic. Its a great album.
Overall Bionic has something to offer everyone. I’ve listen to the whole album and can’t say that I am disappointed with the final product. This is a sound many have been yearning to hear from Christina. It becomes very tiresome when artist in general release new material that many feel that it’s essential to compare it to other great music previously released by other unique artist, instead of listening to what is right now. The select few artists that Christina is being compared to are great in their own right and have released some amazing music but at the end of the day that is there music and this is hers. Unlike many artists today Christina has vocal abilities that can blow just about everyone else out of the water. That dose not mean those others out their cant sing they just have other abilities that give them that so called IT factor “if that’s what you want to call it”. Christina has a voice, the beauty to evolve in an ever-changing Industry and at the end of the day those who have been able adapt to those changes are truly the great ones. Bionic is an album filled with arrangements consisting of energy, catchiness, heart, and much more allowing her fans and others to enjoy each record and to take out what ever it may mean to them. Being an artist you want to create something amazing that people can listen to and say “I get what your saying” Overall I give Christina 5 Stars for creating a master piece and staying true to who she is as a person, Mother, Daughter, Wife and beyond. With all that said I hope she never stops and keeps recreating that Christina brand we have all grown to love.

Ya, her performance failed to generate much buzz on Sunday… except for the fact that afterwards she was trending on twitter for hours and hours. I’m so tired of these “jouranlists” interjecting their biased opinions, and in some cases, blatantly misrepresenting the facts to support their views.
Beautiful and Fighter were from her album stripped not back to basics.
I can’t believe EW isn’t going to review Bionic (apparently)! Maybe its because they know its good and it would go against their hating ways. Bionic is great! For anyone who enjoys pop music there is nothing wrong with it! And tho i’m so tired of seeing her brought up in every Xtina article , i want to say- Lady GaGa would NEVER sing I Am, You Lost Me, All I Need, Lift Me Up, WooHoo, Stronger Than Ever, Bobblehead…. Their albums are NOTHING alike!
I haven’t listened to Bionic yet, but Christina is one of a few artists that always interest me. I just love listening to her sing. Her voice is stunning. I’m looking forward to picking up the album.

I don’t understand how Christina garner’s alot of hate. She is a great artist and I bought the album on itunes. It’s one of the best alubms to come out this year.Keep being amazing Christina and you have fan’s so don’t let the haters get you down.
