Drake is Billboard‘s chart king today. His Thank Me Later comes in at No. 1 on their 200 albums chart, pushing out 447,000 copies in its first week. The first four slots on the 200 albums chart are new entries. The second highest debut is Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers’ Mojo at No. 2 with 125,000 units moved. Next is Sarah McLachlan’s Laws of Illusion, which comes in at No. 3 with 94,000 copies sold. No. 4 comes from Now 34, the compilation album of recent pop hits, with 88,000.
Jack Johnson‘s To The Sea falls back a slot to No. 5 with 68,000 albums sold. The Eclipse soundtrack slides back four spots to No. 6, selling 55,000 units. With 47,000 copies sold, Justin Bieber‘s My World 2.0 falls one slot to No. 7. Lady Antebellum’s Need You Now remains at No. 8 selling 40,000 albums. Christina Aguilera‘s disappointing Bionic sinks six spots to No. 9 with 40,000 units sold. And last week’s No. 1, Glee: The Music, Journey to Regionals, closes out the top 10. It sold 39,000 copies.

ok, I’m waiting for more ridiculous comments from “Crispy”……
crispy must be on vacation, he/she never even made a comment about the Bieber & Usher video last week. Hope he/she is enjoying summer like the rest of us!!!
And I’m waiting for couchgrouch to come and make some stupid comments about how rap isn’t music.
LOL @ Christina Aguilera
Drakes album is SICK. After eminem he is the second best talent right now and he deserves to be number one.
You do not know anything about hip hop. Eminem is slipping and Drake is mediocre at best. People need to listen to real hip hop. Listen to hip hop from the 90′s(Wu-Tang, EPMD, Prince Paul, Biggie, etc.) Those guys will put these millenium posers(Drake, Lil-Wayne etc.) to shame.
agree.
eminem is a joke drake is okay tho still on the fence
Dang, Christina would be lucky if her ish go double wood.
Nice to see Tom Petty still selling records after all these years. And Mojo is great.
I bought Drake’s album and I’m glad to see that so many other people did as well, because it’s really good.
YAY for Drake! The album is great and I’m glad it’s selling well! Too bad for Christina though…
exactly 10 years ago, on april 2000′N SYNC had sold 2.400.000 copies from NO STRINGS ATTACHED, BRITNEY sold 1.300.000 copies from OOOPPS I DID IT AGAIN EMINEN sold 1.800.000 copies from THE MARSHALL MATHERS LP the same month. later on that october LIMP BISKIT sold 1.100.000 from COCOLATE STARFISH AND THE….. and on that december the BACKSTREET BOYS OLD 1.6000.000from BLACK & BLUE….
all these numbers are only from the the first week sales of each albums…what a times!!!!!!
I wish that the EW writers & editors would write SOMETHING nice about Xtina! I’m not some superfan, but I have listened to the entire “Bionic” album and I actually really like it alot. Maybe its cause I’m a gay guy (you know we’re predisposed to LOVE dance-pop tunes). I think “Vanity” is the most over-the-top drag queen anthem in the making!! (If UGLY BETTY were still on, the show would find a way to use that tune!) Anyways, “Bionic” is NOT the next pop single contrary to her performing it at the Mtv Movie Awards (not to be confused with Canada’s MuchMusic Awards, hehehe) The next Aguilera single is going to now be the ballad “You Lost Me” to hopefully save this tricky album. Yes, her label is resorting to releasing a ballad since the pop prgroammers weren’t feeling the uptempo tunes. *SIGH* Anyways, Here’s hoping “You Lost Me” takes off so Xtina can release some more of the uptempo singles in the near future.
I agree, go Christina!
i agree. You Lost Me is a beautiful song.
Where is Gaslight Anthem?
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ “Mojo” is easily one of his best and most consistent albums in his career. Well worth the money.
Where did Robyn’s Body Talk Part 1 chart?
According to VH1:
The new album from Swedish pop singer Robyn, Body Talk Pt. 1, slides into the top 100 at #97 (5,000).
i bought drakes album. its on steady repeat. it’s such a great album. sux that xtina’s album isn’t selling, but i cant say that im surprised. I only like half the songs on the bionic album.it’s not that good.
Dear media keep hating on Christina. I think it will help with sales, ever heard of backlash.
Anyway, why is her album “Disappointing”. It’s not the worse fall on the list.
People, this is what BIASED looks like.
Getting stoned endsot make you lose all functions. infact im high as a kite right now kid. obviously you have never tried getting high and was taught wrong about weed. weed endsot leave you unable to function like meth or herion
Bought “Mojo” last week and, it’s taken a little time, but the album is really growing on me. Still waiting for my copy of Chris Isaak’s “Live At The Fillmore” to arrive from Amazon, but I have high expectations as he’s one of the best live performers out there.
