Better get your pretend-scratching skills up to snuff! DJ Hero 2 is coming this October. The sequel to last year’s DJ Hero video game will feature an even broader range of tunes for you to mix and mash on screen, drawing on artists all across the genre map — from Rihanna and Lady Gaga to Jay-Z and Drake to Daft Punk and Tiesto and beyond. It’s an impressive list, and we’re pleased to debut the full details right here on the Music Mix.

2Pac, Biggie, Kanye, 50, Dr. Dre, Nas, Grandmaster Flash, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Naughty By Nature, Chamillionaire, Nelly, Puff Daddy, Busta Rhymes, LL Cool J, Mos Def…..so don’t EVEN say practically every other rap artists here is garbage.
Most of these guys are old school rappers, the first ones to do it. You clearly know absolutely nothing about rap.
what a close minded statement Jordan. I was kinda wishing to see Saul Williams or Sage Francis on this line up :-/ and i was sad to see the only Heavy band is that grabage ass Metallica (sure their old stuff is cool, but now…not so much)
open your ears to more music man, It’s more fun to hear 50 albums spanning 50 artists and styles, than listening to 1 artist or style 50 times over.

The dance artists/DJs and respectable hip-hop artists (i.e. nothing since the 90′s) make up for the terrible things such as Soulja Boy and more f*ing Jackson 5?? I mean…i dont care how good a DJ you are, you just don’t mix Jackson 5!! It’s a headache!

Enh not that bad but not great either DJ Premier/Gang Starr, Jurassic 5, A Tribe Called Quest, Jungle Brothers, De La Soul, DJ Qbert to add for hip-hop/rap since you gotta lot of bad people like souija Boy, and other bad artist. for House maybe the Founders of house music like Frankie Knuckles, Farley “Jackmaster” Funk, Ralphi Rosario, Kenny “Jammin’” Jason, Mickey Mixin Oliver, and Scott Smokin Sliz. More French artist like The Phantom’s Revenge, Pierre de la Touche, Alan Braxe, Cassius, Etienne de Crecy,and I:Cube. Electronica like the Prodigy, Fatboy Slim, Pendulum, Digitalism, and SeabatiAn. Make the European and Asian crowd happy not the US only with so many pop artist >:(
I do agree completely with Adriel’s Hip hop selection some Tribe Called Quest and Gangstarr would definitely shine on this game! As well as the others but as someone has stated earlier “you can’t please everyone”
I’m excited about the Break Beat artists The Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Deadmau5, and The Crystal Method. As for the selection I think it’s best to have a wide range of different genres of music to the que. It gives us a chance to explore more musically and get out of a fixed genre altogether I’m super pumped for this game!
I’m really excited for this because I love the first DJ Hero. And while some of these seem out of place, if you remember, the last one had some artist/mixes that were a little out of place, but they managed to pull a good song out of it, is: Rihanna VS The Killers, Eminem VS Beck and Vanilla Ice VS Paula Abdul. I’m just saying, don’t knock till you hear it. Cause believe me, I’m not a fan of Metallica or Lady GaGa, but I am intrested in hearing what mixes they have of them.
I am very excited about this. Sure, there are some artists that I don’t know of (or have preconceived notions of not liking) but for anyone to think that a mainstream music game is not going to have an artist they don’t like is just plain stupid.
