By now Bruno Mars should be a familiar voice. As the featured singer and producer on two of the summer’s biggest hits–B.o.B’s “Nothin’ on You” and “Billionaire” by Travie McCoy–Mars has firmly cemented himself as a go-to guy for chart-toppers. But can he do it on his own? You be the judge. Check out the debut single, “Just the Way You Are,” from his forthcoming as-yet-untitled album. It’s an endearing mid-tempo cut, a cousin in vibe to his collaboration with B.o.B–just not as groovy. “When you smile/The whole world stops and stares for a while,” he croons to a girl on the hook. Cute, right? Seems like it would be a wonderful fit at a high school prom or a scene on MTV’s reality drama The City. Check it out after the jump and let us know what you think.

Man, I love Bruno Mars, but I don’t like this song. I think he has a great, smooth voice, but there’s no hot beat on this song like “Nothin’ On You” or even “Billionaire.” It sounds kind of dated too.

beautiful voice, refreshing song. it stands out and his EP was really good. can’t wait for a full length album.
It’s cute. He’ll do fine in the music scene, as it is now. His sound isn’t for everyone, but he’s definitely talented.

Although I like Nothin’ on you and Billionaire, this is what music is about. Expressing your feeling through great words. There’s more to music than good beat; for example, lyrics, content, and etc. Listen to the lyrics and tell me this doesn’t make a woman feel good about herself or a man to learn to appreciate a woman for the way she is. And no I’m not a girl. Kids these days don’t know anything. I’m only 26 but just saying.
