As an older listener, I am very impressed with Taylor Swift’s writing and video work. As a therapist, I like the theme of “Mine,” which involves overcoming the influence of an abusive/dysfunctional family as portrayed by the young Taylor in flashbacks during the video. The adult Taylor struggles with her mixed feelings about the possibility of a loving relationship while fighting off the demons from her past. The ending seems very idealstic in its joy, but makes a valid point that one can overcome a painful childhood (especially with therapy). I really enjoy watching this video. I think Taylor is a great role model for old and young people
I know right? Her songs always have an important meaning to it, not like other singers who doesn’t have one!
This video is sweet but I didn’t get it . Is Taylor imagining her future with the boy or it already happened?
