When in doubt, bring on the kiddie gospel choir. Tennessee rockers Kings of Leon extoll the pleasures of country living—and Rockwellian child mentoring—in the new clip for the first single from their upcoming Only By Night followup Come Around Sundown.
Here there be soccer and swimmin’-hole fishing, sprinkler-running and barn-harmonizing, field-frolicking and kite-flying. Here there be not: flammable intercourse, interpersonal advantage-taking, and of course, song licensing to any other sort of singing choir.

This is all kinds of Unicef.
I wonder if the chorus is hiding under that pile of hay??
Good song. It brings you back to summer when you were a little kid.
Sounded good to me.
Like the song, it’s catchy and can easily be another #1 single for them…wish there were pigeons in the video though, that would’ve made it perfect.
Yes, needs pigeons! And maybe a Glee cast member throwing a slushie at them.
Better song than I expected. Looking forward to hearing the rest of the album.
Love it! Great band Great music!
Not exactly what was expected. Have the boys surpassed any bearded Jim Morrison dead in a bathtub phase or Thom Yorke Meeting People is Queezy phase and jumped straight for the Quincy Jones ‘We Are the World’ phase?
“It’s got a good beat & you can dance to it”, no, really, very catchy tune. It’s been stuck in my head all day. I’m thinking another ‘Use Somebody’?? Nice video too.
That initial guitar bit gave me goosebumps….definitely glad they are back…
MMMMMM..catchy . But I thought they were going back to their roots ( hopefully more of the first two albums ) , I want some of those good ol dirty , raw riffs & that made me love em..not stadium rock .Good to see em back though
okay U2…
Sounds nothing like U2.
The video seems horribly contrived. In all the years I’ve been a fan I’ve never even seen them in the same room with a Black person, but now their running thru fields with Black children? Seriously? And I thought KoL had a strict rule about not creating a sound in the studio unless just the 4 of them could re-create it live on stage. So the addition of a Gospel choir annoys me for several different reasons.
I didn’t know it was possible to add a gospel chorus and *still* have a chorus that is not at all catchy.
Luv luv luv this new video, you guys continue to make great music! Caleb is AMAZING to look at.
