Brittany’s dancing will redeem this. Chick throws down, though ‘there are so many lyrics…’
I love Glee, but this song didn’t do it for me. As others have said, it DEFINITELY sounds like Kidz Bop, and Kidz Bop sucks. I don’t mind it when Matt Morrison raps (and I think I’m in a minority there), but the other cast members should just back away slowly and head back to more familiar territory. I hope the other songs in the first episode are better than this…
Hip hop? Really? Don’t they know that when most of them rap they are laughably bad? But the chorus sounds pretty good though. Can’t wait for this season to start!
Actually, I think the female lead during the refrain sounds like Santana. She tends to be more of a sharp soprano, as opposed to Mercedes. See last nights Gaga ep. and Santana ripping it on Bad Romance. But that is Mercedes singing Alicia’s solos.
This makes me embarassed to be a New Yorker
Ummm….why, Glee, why? Granted, I just hate this song beyond words, but…no one on this show is a good rapper. Like…Cory Monteith?! Why???? Kevin Mchale seems to be the closest, and the chorus is good, but total swing and miss, Glee. If I see a Yankee hat on any of their heads,…
This was kinda… painful.
This is nice enough, but where is the originality? The twist? ANYTHING different than the version we’ve already heard a bazillion times. This is the very definition of karaoke. I prefer Glee’s mash-ups and original takes on popular songs like their version of “Take a Bow” by Rihanna or “Hello” by Lionel Ritchie.
Eughh… I’m a huge Glee fan and this is extremely disappointing. One of the few Glee songs I will be leaving off my iPod.
NONE OF THEM CAN RAP. Glee, STOP trying. So much of this show is bad but I can’t stop watching because about 5% of the time they get it really right.
it may have something to do with the quality of the recording but I am NOT a fan of this remake. I even enjoyed the Gaga episode of Glee
