David Guetta collaborator Chris Willis' new 'Louder (Put Your Hands Up)': An EW exclusive stream

Chris-WillisChris Willis—that frequent collaborator with French DJ David Guetta—has been swirling around on pop radio for a while now, serving up a series of clubby anthems from my fist-pumping fave “Love is Gone” to the similar-sounding and pulsing jam from this summer “Gettin’ Over You,” which also features LMFAO and Fergie.

And now he’s returned with “Louder (Put Your Hands Up),” which is—yup, you guessed it—another club banger. Could it be a big hit for him? I think it’s certainly got lots of potential, but may be a bit too-too in the dance category for the radio. (That doesn’t mean I won’t put it on repeat on my iPod, though.)

But why don’t you tell me, dear readers, by listening to The Music Mix’s exclusive debut stream of the single after the jump:

Are you inspired to “(Put Your Hands Up),” Music Mixers? Can this inspire the club-going masses? Tell me in the comments below.

Clubs will benefit from this song. It could make it to the radio, but I don’t know that it would have a long life span. I like the part “Clap Clap Clap Clap Clap” I can picture that in a club.

Blech – this song is just lame.

Can’t wait to hear more. Chris Willis is one of music’s best!

I think this is a great breakthrough record for Chris Willis and even though it may seem too clubby for some folks, I think it totally embodies today’s pop music, which is largely turning into straight-up dance music. Everybody’s jumping off the r’n’b and hip-hop train, and joining the likes of Gaga, Usher, etc, that are clearly embrassing the foor-on-the-floor movement! I’m loving it!!!

@Angie I totally agree. This man can flat out sing!

In the lyrics stays that it names Up up up up up up up not clap clap ! I think too that he sings clap but in the lyrics Hmmmm. Sry for my Englisch skills ;) Love this song!
