Lil Wayne‘s I Am Not a Human Being came out two weeks ago, and off internet sales alone it debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Next weeks battle for #1 will be worth watching. Sugerland vs. Kings of Leon. (unless I’m forgetting someone else).

    I hope it’s KOL, but They’ll probably be #2. We’ll see.

Dude T swift’s new album is coming out, everyone else is screwed

      • S.O.

But the results for TS new album won’t be out till the 1st week of Nov.

50% of the Billboard top 10 are country records..and yet Wayne still manages to vault to #1. That alone goes to show you that he’s truly earned the title of the greatest rapper alive. Wonder if “Tha Carter IV” is still coming Nov. 4th with zero promotion when he gets released from jail? Two DIFFERENT #1 records within a month’s time would earn him legendary status. Cash Money & universal should really go for it. There aren’t any other radio records off “I Am Not a Human Being” besides “Right Above It”.

    • Um?

      “Greatest Rapper Alive”?

Did Eminem, Jay Z, Nas, and Q-Tip die in a horrible accident that no one knows about?

Stop overrating Wayne. You are embarrassing yourself.

Dude, I like Eminem & Jay also, went to Jay’s show at Yankee Stadium last month. And both rapper susually peak my interest with their releases, and since Wayne’s been in prison, Jay has been making alot of appearances on Kanye’s GOOD Friday posse cuts, which have kept me happy, but as a whole, jay’s last few albums since coming out of retirement have been really weak as a whole, and he rarely jumps on other people’s songs unless its his old Def Jam buddies. I can’t wait for Wayne to start popping up on 20 songs a month when he gets out next month. Nas hasn’t interested me since 2002, and Q-Tip’s new song with Mark Ronson & MNDR “Bang Bang Bang” is awesome, but hip-hop stations wouldn’t go near it with a 10 foot pole, even if the production matches most current hip-hop releases, so PLEASE stop embarassing yourself and sitting on that high horse.

      • so just because a rapper doesn’t sell 10 million records, he’s automatically DQ’ed from the GOAT conversation in your eyes? you’re a lame fan. keep slurping up the awful hip hop that radio serves up for you. never expand your mind or grow. idiot. you’re, what, 13?

      cosign @Um?

Lil Wayne is nowhere near the best rapper alive, dont ever pretend to know something about hip hop if u believe that ridicuous mess. This album was absolutely terrible, too, I see Birdman’s been buying up all of Waynes garbage again.

      Autotune rappers suck.

“Are you at all surprised about Lil Wayne big leap to the top?”

When the competition is Big Time Rush, The Band Perry, Sufan Stevens and All That Remains I’m not surprised at all.

The music charts are awful now.

These artists also want to get their music out as well. It’s not always the big names every time. I got the Big Time Rush album–it’s a fun effort from that boy band. I also got Lil’ Wayne’s effort the day it came out. Wayne just did well on a non-competitive week.

  • LOL

When does the new Perry Como come out?

  • Dee Jones

How did Faith Evan`s album do? I got to go get it. Support good music and singing!

    • I don’t know the final results, but Hits said it would be around #12.

I definitely want to read more soon. BTW, pretty nice design you have here, but what do you think about changing it from time to time?

  • Preston

I think that Lil Wayne putting out a physical CD after selling it first on the Internet was a smart move. It shows that he is still competitive by moving to No. 1.
