cool.
I like me some Bruno Mars…but he sounds the same in all of his songs on the radio…even the ones he is only featured in. Am I the only one who thinks “Grenade” sounds kinda similar to “Just The Way You Are”?
And doesn’t everyone who uses Auto-Tune (don’t get me wrong, I love a good Auto-Tuned out Akon or T-Pain song) sound EXACTLY the same!? The guy can actually sing without the studio tweaking, CUT HIM A BREAK! his debut is one of the most under-rated and under-selling albums of the year that will hopefully go on to be a HUGE chart topper in 2011.
I mean, I really like him as a singer…but its just (for me at least) kinda weird he sings a lot of things in the same way. There is always one word in a lyric he sings that he drags out. “Ain’t got nothing on yooouuuuu baby” “Catch a grenaaadeee for ‘ya” “Just the way you arrreee”. Amazing voice, I just hope he doesn’t turn into a one trick pony.
Grenade sounds nothing like JTWYA. Also, Bruno can never be a one trick pony. He sings, produces, writes, plays 6 instruments, and can dance (he was an MJ impersonator as a teen). There’s a lot more to come from him, I’m sure.
doesnt sound NOTHING LIKE JTWYA
BRUNO is true pure talent
live he sounds EVEN BETTER
I have been thinking that Grenade is sort of like the worst case scenario to the same guy who was singing Just the Way You Are (the girl in the video even looks kind of alike)
4 of the top 5 are women. You go girls.
I hope Enrique’s I’m loving u featuring Ludacris reach the summit next year! great track!
Thank God,
We started the year with great music (Empire State of Mind), and we finish the year with great music (I loooove ‘Grenade’), let all the crappy popcorn music (Kesha, Perry, Rihanna)stay in the middle and become history. Hopefully next year, we’ll be back to GOOOOOD Music (Kanye, Beyonce, Madonna, Chris Brown, GAGA!)
Actually Miss Talk, you can’t call Kesha Perry and Rihanna popcorn music and then turn around and say that Beyonce Madonna Chris Brown and Gaga are good when they have the exact type of music as the others. Don’t get me wrong, i like all of them mentioned, but your comparisons aren’t really valid.
Miss Talk just got owned by K!
just a note – this particular chart is for Jan.08, 2011. The list comes from Billboard & why the list is correct the comment of ending 2010 at top is Incorrect. Katy Perry end 2010 & started 2011 at top of the Billboard Hot 100 (this chart). These particular rankings are valid for the week ending Jan. 08, 2011
The worst song ever. Catch a grenade for ‘ya. Throw my hand on a blade for ‘ya. Yuk.
But I like Bruno Mars as a singer. He’s got a little Michael Jackson in his vocals. So I’ll give him a pass on this dreadful record.
