Looks like Bruno Mars’s album is turning into quite the sleeper hit. Nice to see Taylor on top of the charts; sick of the haters on these websites, tried to discredit her talent as a songwriter. Obviously no amount of negativity from the trolls can keep her down.

Taylor gives the word “momentum” new meaning. I haven’t seen such a talent take off in a long time. She really deserves all the accolades she gotten so far and she’s earned each and every one of them. Sensational new offering of “Back To December” from her in the form of a conceptual video rather than the live performance from the CMAs. It’s really exceptional. Admit I’ve been swept into the Swift world and loving every minute of it.

      • Perry

Do we need a passport to travel around in Taylor’s world? I haven’t gotten my visa stamped yet.

      • Thalia

Taylor’s popularity is UNIVERSAL by now and even aliens throughout the galaxy have honed in on her super talent. yeah yeah!!!

      • Sandy

Been part of T Swift’s circle since 2006′s Teardrops on My Guitar and proud of it.

      • Leanna

        Guess I’ll straighten my hair
        Like Taylor I’ve got flair
        I’ve got my party dress
        The guys I will impress
Oh I just love her songs
        Us fans and her belong
        And although it’s January
        It’s Back To December
        Our Taylor we’ll always remember!

      • Seraphina CloudBurst

Yay! I am sooooo proud to be part of her whirlwide fanbase pool. Taylor fan forever!

        *~*

      • Luminosity Tears

I am part of the Swift world happy to say.

    • Patricia

Something about Bruno bothers me and I really don’t like any of his songs even though I tried really hard to like them.

      • Kyle

I feel what you’re saying too.

    • Calliope

Don’t worry your pretty lil mind, people throw rocks at things that shine.

Taylor is OURS and her fans will always appreciate the enormous talent she possesses.

      • Sydney

I am so glad I bought the deluxe album because I love “Ours” so much.

      • Muscalanta

Saving the BIG ones to drop on the haterz. yayess!

      • Jonathan

That’s a good one! Deluxe version is definitely worth the extra cash.

      • Perry

Think she’s talking about the haters that diss on her. She gets to stick it to all of them on “Mean”, so I know it’s coming out as a single some time this year.

      • Thalia

OURS is one of my favs!!!

      • Seraphina CloudBurst

Ours is the best song on the deluxe version!

      • Luminosity Tears

That’s absolutely one of my choices for best songs on Speak Now also.

    • Kyle

Grenade is good but I can’t stand his other songs like Nothing on You and Just the Way You Are.

  • Brenda Barrett

I love both TSwift’s and BMars’ albums — I bought ‘em both. Also love Cee Lo Green’s CD; I can’t believe it’s not doing better. It’s awesome from start to finish; maybe SNL will give it the bump it deserves.

    • dipshat

I really don’t understand the greatness of Cee-Lo’s CD. Sure, F*** You was unforgettably great, but that’s about it. So it’s retro, so what?

      • Chichi

It’s not just because it’s retro. It is retro without feeling dated and Cee-Lo has one helluva voice.

      • Bijou

I too fail to see the hype about this song. It’s good, but not great.

      • Brenda Barrett

It’s both retro and fresh and contemporary-sounding at once — a rare feat. And there is a sonic joyousness to the whole thing.

      • Jonathan

It wasn’t groundbreaking, but it was a good solid album. Cee Lo didn’t set out to prove anything, which was refreshing.

    • Perry

I don’t get the deal with Bruno Mars. Nope. Not at all.

    • Sandy

Grenade is good but I don’t care for the other songs before it.

      • Seraphina CloudBurst

Grenade is the best song on Bruno’s album!
        :D

  • Eloy

what a shame watching this talentless ho being number one again

    • Jonathan

      Oh look, a troll.

    • Eric

Hey Eloy, better watch out for Morlocks. They’ll have you for a snack!

      • Jonathan

        :) to this.

      • Carrie Anne Mosgrove

        OMG lol!!!!

      • Keith

Let’s put Eloy in a Time Machine and send him back.
        ;)

      • Muscalanta

Morlocks are nasty stinky apelike creaturz.

  • yournightmare

Preach it,Jonathan! :) Overall sales are terrible, though. I hope Taylor manages to show “legs” with this album as she did with “Fearless”. I heard “Back To December” music video premieres tomorrow…maybe it gives her a little boost.

    • Jonathan

I hope so! They aren’t very good numbers, but it’s already gone 3X platinum I believe, so she’s on track to beat Fearless. Some good choices of singles (basically any song on the album) should definitely prompt sales, and hopefully she’ll be looking at some more Grammys next year :)

      • Brenda Barrett

“Haunted” and “Enchanted” are but two great candidates for singles.

      • Jonathan

Agreed, Brenda. I think Mean might be released because it appeals most to country radio, and Better Than Revenge has gotten a bit of pre-single buzz for it’s subject matter, but Enchanted is my favorite song on the album!

      • Calliope

MEAN is one of my faves and I have it on repeat.

      • Sydney

The acoustic version of “Haunted” is even better than the full orchestral version.

      • Muscalanta

Enchanted soars with the best of the songz on any of her albumz.

      • Carissa

Haunted and Enchanted are two of the best cuts from Speak Now. I love them both. Taylor’s vocal presence on the acoutic Haunted is pure and wonderful.

      • Seraphina CloudBurst

I love both the acoustic and full strings arrangement on Haunted!
        :)

      • Luminosity Tears

Haunted and Enchanted are both spectacular.

    • Eric

      Awesome choices for future singles.

    • Mina

The top debut has only 30 to 35k this week so, it’s a lock for Taylor for 7 weeks next time! Yay!

    • Thalia

I saw her video for Back to December and it’s completely FEARLESS. Luvs it!!!

    • Sandy

The video is really great. Subtle yet it gets the message across without the usual fairytale ending.

      • Seraphina CloudBurst

        100% in agreement!

        (*o*)

  • Will

Cee Lo has so much buzz…what happened to his album?

  • brandon

wooo jason! He is so under rated which makes no sense because all his albums sell more then almost all other bigger country artists. just sayin.. lol

  • Eric

Taylor’s cd is ace. It don’t matter if she has the lowest amount sold for a week cuz everybody knows cd sales continue to die and suck major. What matters is that she sold MORE than everyone else in the music field. yeah eat that haters.

    • Jonathan

Preach! And she sells more because she is one of the few artists left to actually make an ALBUM, not just a couple of singles with filler. Speak Now has been on repeat since its release for me.

      • Mina

Mean is her best “country sounding” song since Our Song. I just love it and prolly played it at least 500 times now and I love it more than ever!

      • Carrie Anne Mosgrove

I agree. You can listen to all the songs on her 5 albums because she doesn’t pen ones that get discarded. I hate when you buy an album and find yourself pushing the seek next selection button more often than listening to all the songs. You won’t have that problem with Taylor’s albums.

      • Katelyn

5 albums? Isn’t Speak Now only her 3rd album released so far? Confused here.

      • Calliope

She’s probably including the holiday album and Beautiful Eyes.

      • Muscalanta

That’s 7 CDz if you include the live albumz.

  • Patricia

I thought that her first week blowout of over 1 million sold would be just be her most ardent fans buying it and then Speak Now would fall off a cliff afterwards. Taylor showed that she’s a force to be reckoned with and she’s not done by a longshot. Amazing album chocked full of great songs and I feel bad I doubted her sellilng power.

  • Marc

    • Cecille Monchet

      Fantastic numbers for Taylor.

    • Darla

      Great sales!

    • Tanneth

      Excellent sales progression.

    • Katelyn

I was one of the million plus people that bought it the first week. It’s amazing she is holding onto that top position because so many new albums come out each week.

    • Calliope

So happy Taylor’s selling so well as she feared the success of this album because it’s her most personal one todate. I think the fan response is a resounding YES YES YES to Speak Now. Can’t wait to see her on tour this Summer.

    • Sydney

That’s a lot sold in only 3 months!

    • Trey

Those are pretty good numbers for Taylor. More power to her.

    • Muscalanta

      She’s killing the competition.

    • Nelson

Cake and Cage are supposed to be #1 and #2 going into next week according to HITS and Taylor’s 3rd, unless she has a surge into th weekend.

    • Deniece

Her Back To December video will help promote more sales in the weeks to come. Love it Love it and so glad she didn’t use a storybook fairytale ending.

    • Adelaide

I think the sales numbers for next week will be even lower. There’s most definitely a lull this year in sales.

    • Carissa

She will definitely be a contender for Grammy nods for next year. The album is exceptionally well done.

    • Dan

Excellent sales for Taylor’s Speak Now. She could clear the Quintuple Platinum mark by the end of the year.

    • Thalia

She has certainly sold more than any other artist in recent times with the 3 months that Speak Now has been released!!!

    • Sandy

      Spectacular sales.

    • Candace

Those are very good numbers for Taylor.

    • Randy

That’s very good sale numbers for these days. A lot of established acts cannot sell those amounts now like Christina, Britney, Kelly, Carrie and so forth.

    • Seraphina CloudBurst

Our girl Taylor is doing extremely well in the current lagging market for cd sales. Yay!
      :D

    • Vanessa

I hope it has the longevity factor and sells like her debut and 2nd albums. They’re both still on the Billboard 200 chartlisting!

    • Trevor

Her Back to December vid will help increase sales. The vid’s awesome.

    • Luminosity Tears

      Very nice sales numbers.

    • Torrin

It’s awesome that Speak Now is still doing really well in sales in a sluggish cd environment. Usually things will start picking up in early February and since no new major releases are debuting till Spring, she should stay near the top much every week.

    • Kyle

No one’s selling their music like they used to and it’s going to keep dropping year after year.

  • Leticia

Whoever said Cage the Elephant would be no. 1 next week is sadly mistaken.

    • Laurena

      What is Cage The Elephant?

    • Thalia

      What are you talking about???

  • Laurena

So glad Nicki is doing so well too.

    • Thalia

She has a lot of bad language in her Revenge song, but Taylor’s Revenge song is better because there’s no cussing in it.

  • Myron

I like how they stuck it to Kanye and put him in 7th place even though he sold the same amount of cds as Eminem and Rihanna. haha

  • Vicky

It’s obvious very little people buys cds nowadays. Those figures from the Top 10 are really pathetic.

  • follow me on twitter @tanyawoods87

Taylorswift is so overrated she is not talented at all to be honest kanye west made this hoe a household ive never heard of her until then.she need to be thankin kanye if anything

    • Rose

lol tanya…fyi, her albums are multi-platinum, had sold-out tour, won numerous awards before that kanye incident happened.
if you didn’t heard her before kanye, well i guess you’re living under a rock. just sayin’

      haters gonna hate HAHAHA

  • follow me on twitter @tanyawoods87

Taylorswift is so overrated she really needs to thank kanye west because he made this untalented chimp a househould name because i honestly never heard of her before the kanye thing a #jussayin

    • Tanneth

You sound like Tanya Harding. Get over it loser.

      • Thalia

What songs does Tanya Harding sing???

      • Brett

Her signature song is “My husband cracked Nancy Kerrigan’s leg so I can win but that failed miserably so I’m a verified hasbeen” and she does encores.

      • Randy

        lol

    • yournightmare

Kanye West needs to thank Taylor Swift that his musical career is still alive. She could have buried him, but decided not to.
I am sure most of the country world had no clue who this mentally ill black man was, too. Just as hiphop world had no clue, who Taylor was. Does that mean these country people started to purchase hiphop? Or hiphop people country-pop? No. So this argument is just idiotic. Jussayin.

      • Indiriata Fornescu

Imma let u finish but dang I’s gettin’ my a$$ kicked by dat skinny white country girl so dat’s y i’s wont be goin’ to none of dem award shows anytime soon.

        *shoulder shrug*

      • Muscalanta

        ROTFLMAOz

      • Thalia

        hahahaha

      • u

Apparently Kanye is doing quite well enough for you to stay on his mind. And Taylor bury him? PUH-LEASE. Kanye’s been around twice as long as Taylor, I think it will be a huge accomplishment in of itself if Taylor doesn’t end up burying her own self. Oh, and love your little racist touch with “mentally ill black man”.
