Lady Gaga to debut 'Born This Way' track at Paris fashion show

Benett/Getty ImagesAttendees at Nicola Formichetti’s Jan. 19  fashion show in Paris will be treated to more than just fall couture. WWD reports that Formichetti, the new creative director of men’s line Thierry Mugler and Lady Gaga‘s stylist, will have the eccentric pop star by his side to soundtrack the show. “I’m the musical director for the MUGLER fashion show,” Gaga confirmed over Twitter. “I’m remixing/previewing a record on Born This Way, tailored for the show + garments.”

Past Gaga smashes like “Just Dance” and “Poker Face” were show staples in their original form on runways all over last year. It’s pretty cool that she’s reworking new material for the show. She never misses a moment. And where better to show off a new Lady Gaga record than at a highly anticipated fashion show? Believe it or not, the woman who wore the meat dress to the VMAs is highly respected in the fashion world for, if nothing else, her fearless and adventures style. “That girl is on fashion crack,” said Barneys creative directer Simon Doonan a few months back in a VH1 special dedicated to her wild outfits. What do you think of Gaga debuting some new material at the Mugler show? Let us know.

There seems to be a subtle, mocking undertone to this line: “Believe it or not, the woman who wore the meat dress to the VMAs is highly respected in the fashion world…” The meat dress was far more than just an “attention-grabbing antic”- it is representative of society treating women like they’re meat and maintaining unjust positions on human and equal rights issues; not to mention the meat dress was also the ultimate commentary on society’s obsession with wearing real-fur clothing. The meat dress was one of the most beautiful outfits worn at the VMAs, not so much literally as figuratively. So please, stop bashing the meat dress; by doing so, you’re only supporting the suppression of your own rights.

I thought she said it was for gay rights: “if we dont stand up for ourselves pretty soon we’ll have as much rights as the meat on our bones”.

Can’t wait for Born This Way single and album!!! GAGA is too smart for these lames pretending to be “artists”…she is the TRUTH. Can’t wait for her to takeover 2011 for the better of the industry

I agree completely with the comments. I have followed her so closely she is the real deal a true soul that believes in what she is doing and wants to make the world a better place. She carries the world on her shoulders she is a very sensitive and fragile individual. When she says she would die for her fans she means it. It scary/ crazy but she means it and is sincere. ~Peace~Love~Happiness~Always~

How Exciting! Though its only been a 6 months or so since Lady Gaga has released a single, her presence is greatly missed on the mainstream pop scene. So glad that we will have a preview of a ‘Born This Way’ track even if it will be a remixed version. :)
