Image Credit: CBSIn the past week, we’ve watched Lady Gaga hatch out of a see-through space pod on the Grammys, down shots with Anderson Cooper on a revealing 60 Minutes profile, and release the fastest-selling single in the history of iTunes. But the indefatigable pop star still has plenty of headline fodder left in her. In an interview on Sirius XM’s The Morning Mashup! today, Gaga said that she’s “destined” for the big screen and would like to see either Marisa Tomei or Rosario Dawson play her, according to THR. She also said that she is: currently on “the drunk diet”… spent her Valentine’s Day with her shoe collection… does “a ton” of yoga… really did stay in her Grammy egg for 72 hours… and thinks Christina Aguilera is “wonderful.”
All in all, the interview packed enough quotable morsels to keep the soundbite-snarfing dragon that is the blogosphere satisfied for a full… Nope? Still hungry? Wait, there’s more! A few of Gaga’s best recent moments were never even broadcast. The 60 Minutes Overtime website offers a series of clips culled from their 15 hours of Gaga footage (which they pared down to a lean 12-minute segment) that contain some surprisingly frank and funny revelations about the 24 year-old pop superstar. Check out the highlights here:
Gaga cries! Sitting on the steps of her old apartment building, a tearful Gaga tells Anderson Cooper that she never knew whether her search for fame would be successful. One 60 Minutes producer posits that the tears were less candid than camera-ready, but we’re not so sure; it’s pretty hard to read Gaga’s po-po-po-poker face. (Watch the top video here at the 1:25 mark)
Gaga gets naked! Well, not really. But we do get to see the (surprisingly small) dressing room where the Lady presumably dons her birthday suit while switching from one eye-popping costume to another during her concerts. (Same vid as above, but this time skip to 4:00)
Gaga micromanages, just like Madonna and Babs! In a tongue-in-cheek comparison video, 60 Minutes producers intercut Gaga outtakes with footage of past pieces on Madonna and Barbra Streisand. All three ladies earn their Diva Behavior merit badges by trying to direct their own segments, right down to the angles of the shots, while their interviewers get increasingly impatient. But are they bratty prima donnas, or just sisters doin’ it for themselves? You be the judge! (Bottom video)

EW, you are the main offender at giving Gaga a headline every time she opens her mouth.
but look who clicked on it! EW doesnt force people to click. They do that on their own accord…
This actually is an interesting overtime. Love me some GAGA!
Why do u comment on every single thing there is to comment on about lady Gaga? You already dissed britney, leave it alone.
record breaker: 1 Million for Born This Way at iTunes in just 5 days! Apple has never released this kind of information but she’s GAGA.
Also, if Britney Murphey was alive (RIP)…she has that same scratchy voice and spunk that GAGA has. She would have been perfect for the role. Any agree?
It isn’t that Lady Ca Ca “generally makes headline every time she opens her mouth” like the EW headline states, it is just that EW (and the rest of the media too for that matter) reports every time she opens her mouth regardless of whether or not she has anything of any significance to say.
Brittany Murphy, I think would have been perfect, LG. Unfortunately, I also think Gaga is on the road to a breakdown of sorts. Something is off about her, which I get is part of her appeal, but there’s more.
Oh the drama….she’s living the real life of a drama queen. I saw the interview and I still don’t get her…She walks around NYC half-naked and in swimsuits…she changes clothes every day and almost every hour….what’s with the costumes? Doesn’t she know what a pair of jeans are? How about a t-shirt? The Lady is not that great, because she has distractions to take the place of so-called talent.
Lady Gaga sounds like an idiot with high sense of self-importance. The drunk diet? Ridiculous tears running down her overly done-up face? Is anything she says or does actually genuine or, as I suspect, is it all for publicity?
I actually checked out the “drunk diet” website, and it’s more about drinking reasonably while keeping healthy while working out a lot.
The author of the blog is pretty smart and has some really nice observations on life.
Its nice of her to stand up for Christina now- where was she when her “friend” Perez was bashing her every chance he got? Why didn’t she say something then?
Because at that time it wasn’t the “in” thing.
Is she the moderator of his blog?? Just because they’re friends doesn’t mean she can tell him what to write. She’s probably too busy anyway.
Really, I thought it was nice of her to say that, too. They both have great voices. Now time for LG and Christina duet!!!
She could be the moderator if she wanted. He basically worships everything she says and does. He’s like her lacky little minion.
Anyway, LG and Christina duet would be awesome, even though Christina would probably think it was some vocals competition and do runs during Gaga’s parts to try to outsing her. Ha, but that’s just another reason I love Christina.
And where was Christina’s head when she bashed Gaga before bringing out her mixed bag album?
Because Gaga was bashing Christina for “copying” her.
Please just go far away and never return.
I like her. She’s very smart, shrewd and understands fame in more depth than her contemporaries. I believe she is actually quite sincere about being a performance artist and making a statement. She proceeds as if she is conducting a social experiment, very conscious of what she is doing. Anticipate that she will be around for a long while.
Honestly, I don’t hate GaGa but I don’t buy her study of fame and what it does to people at all. Something is definitely off. She’s changed. She used to humbled and funny, frank. Now it’s always a show. She’s too young and new to become so “diva”. It’s very unappealing.
I don’t know if she was serious about her life just screaming to be a made into a movie, but that attitude right there is what gets on my nerves about her. I agree that something is off about her and that she has changed. I think she believes all of her own hype.
I wish she’s drop all the ridiculous shtick from her appearances. She just comes across like Madonna. Sad, because she’s more talented, but that’s who she seems to worship.
please….madonna didn’t invent blonde hair or red lipstick.
GaGa fatigue: Enough already!
EW has apparently become Lady Ca Ca’s personal publicist and it is sad that a serious “news” show like 60 Minutes is helping to promote her. It’s all Ca Ca all the time.
She cannot be serious – Marisa Tomei playing her? The one who should play LG hasn’t been born yet, to paraphrase Lana Turner (google it, youngsters).
who will play you? Maybe a E list actress!
R u the sameperson that got teased about saying lol every Post?
LG fantard: I’m not famous, therefore I could care less.
I’m 25 and I’ve known who Lana Turner was since I was in middle school
I’m 18 and have no clue who she is. But I’ll google her…
Go away gaga. You suck.
only you…go away!!!
Why do you post comments on every article about Lady Gaga if you want her to go away? You remind me of closeted gay men who are married and yet can’t stay away from gay sex in public restrooms.
Super Queen: that was PERFECT!
(Note: Though on my prime, I’ve never really listened to Lady Gaga’s music or seen her with her performances. . . – it’s relevant to my comment (I’m one of those relatively younger musicheads who’ve lost faith in this MP3 era; to me, music has never been as good with any real substance as 80s, 90s and early 2000s anymore.).)

@ ADAM M: Thanks for the up. MARISA TOMEI is one of the most UNDERRATED working actresses, not to mention her sexy Indo-European look and beauty. However, even with help from Hollywood makeup artists; still, isn’t she a bit too old for this role? Just say’n.
She has become in such a atention whore.
She needs a reality check.
A movie, eh? I admire the humility.
What a movie about an egg?
Id rather watch a movie about a dying shoe covered in death gaganess then watch her movie.
makes sense to do a movie…she’s got an interesting story…and Hollywood really is out of creative, original ideas.
“Did you guys see my wack video for HIAM? I showed up randomly and they put me in Madonna’s Like A Virgin dress and I just freaked the dance parts so my brainwashed fans would enjoy. Gaga is so much better than my non-writing, non grammy, non singing, hardly dance anymore self. “
Shut up faker.
Hey loser how bout ya stop tryin to be cool and do somethin productive in the world of real people Eh?
You’re stupid.
