And as Reuters reports, the proceeds from sales of his extensive catalog of hit records and memorabilia are helping dig the pop legend out of his much reported nearly $400 million debt.
Jackson has earned $310 million since his June 2009 death according to court papers filed on Feb. 17. And of that, handlers of his estate have contributed $159 million to his debt. There are still several outstanding claims filed in other countries to be dealt with, but estate handlers claim they’ve “made substantial progress in reducing the estate’s debt.”
As we reported last year, Jackson’s estate signed a 10-album record deal with Sony. The first of the 10, Michael, was released last December. Slowly but surely, proper steps are being taken to clear Jackson’s financial obligations. How do you think the estate is handling this? Have you bought any of his albums, seen This Is It, or purchased any M.J. mementos since he passed?
I think he faked his death and this is why. He’s making more now than he did ‘alive’.

Besides Jackson donated plenty to charity when alive and his estate is setup to contribute 20 percent of earnings to charity. What have you done?

I totaaly agree, that is why I’, so happy that “Michel Jackson Conspiracy” by Aphrodite Jones is now available in paperback at Amazon.com. There is so much information from that trial that proved MJ’s innocense that never made headlines. I took it a step further and not only read that book but also read the offical court transcripts as well. It’s really shocking when you see how much the evidence and testimony weighed in MJ’s favor.

@ Anna….i agree.that book by aphrodite jones is so enlightening.i used to dislike MJ thinking he had done all that he was accused of.now i have understood how he was innocent.n i also learned what the settlement actually meant.i pity him so much

I thought Michael made closer to a billion dollars last year.. I read somewhere that he made more money than the top 10 earning celebrities combinied. 400,000 is not bad… I wish i earned 1/10 of that. Go Michael!
