Mr. Schuester is gettin’ freaky up in here.
Glee star Matthew Morrison debuted his new single from his upcoming album on the Ryan Seacrest show this morning and it’s all about having sex in the rain on a rooftop! Dude has come a long way from “One Less Bell to Answer!”
This ode to a very R-rated public display of affection has a sort of Jason Mraz-y sound to it. Frankly, I just can’t wait for the video (I’m assuming there will be gratuitous shirtless shots of Morrison). Listen to the tune below:
What do you think, Music Mix-ers? Is Morrison gonna top the charts with this? Or should he stick to his TV gig?

Horrific…he better keep his day job!!
Umm… Matthew Morrison’s day job *is* singing, dancing, acting, and being awesome. He worked hard for this album, and this is a great single.
its really great. cant wait for the vid.
I like him on Glee but I listened to 10 seconds of the song and had to turn it off…
Right?! Just not good. Let’s be honest here. If he weren’t already a name, no one would like this song.
I sense jealousy here.
Agreed. I’m sorry but I don’t get the appeal. He’s one of the worst parts of Glee for me. Can’t act well and isn’t exactly a stand out vocal.
I love him on Glee and on Glee soundtracks and on anything else I’ve seen vids of him in, but I barely managed to get a minute into this song. It’s pretty bad. If this is the first single, it’s not a good sign for the whole album (which I’d wanted to get).
It’s a beautiful song.
this actually makes me start to look forward to his album, sounds nice.
I love it!
I like it! I’d hang out with Mr. Schue in the rain
who wouldn’t? =P
Making love in the summer rain with Mr Schue…clearly who wouldn’t?
But despite I’d love the idea, the song needs more energy, more spirit. It seems like MM is “dragging” the lyrics throughout the song instead of “splitting/dropping” them. He did a better job on “Don’t stand so close to me/Young Girl”.
I like it … jazzy, good vocals
sounds like a huge hit…if it was released in 1990
Wodner how soon we’ll hear it on GLEE?
Nice song … but, may need one more mix or two!
wow, didn’t expect this, his voice sounds a little different in this song, so young and beautiful.
I hate the lyrics. Very lazy. And cliched. I’m a songwriter and I would be embarrassed to sing that at open mic. I love Matthew and Glee and his voice, but go back to the drawing board. And his voice has sounded better. It’s just weird. It doesn’t really sound new at all. And it’s poppy fluff but there is way better poppy fluff out there that has a better beat and melody.
…major let down, and it feels creepy for some reason (picture him as a teacher singing this – lol)
he’s a singer, not a teacher here. people really need to tell reality from TV.
Pretty cool song Mr. Shu.
Gick.
better than my expectation, honestly.
It’s pretty good. Very Hawaii
