Californian singer-songwriter Brett Dennen, friend and fellow jammer to John Mayer and Jason Mraz both, releases his fourth album, Loverboy, a month from now, but you can preview an exclusive track from it called “Make You Fall In Love With Me” here:
There’s a touch of laid-back Caribbean cool in Dennen's sunny, socially conscious folk-rock; he does look like he would have been “the cute counselor” at summer camp at some point in his life.
Most importantly, Dennen’s shout-out to life-affirming albums like Graceland and Blue puts this song on a level of Charlie Sheen winning. What do you think of it? Think the new record will be as good as Hope for the Hopeless?
