EW has exclusively learned that pop star Lady Gaga will receive the Always Next, Forever Now Award at Logo’s NewNowNext Awards, which will air on the cable network April 11.

The special award, which has been awarded each of the three years the ceremony has been in existence, is intended to pay homage to a beloved pop icon; past recipients include Britney Spears, Janet Jackson, and Paula Abdul.

The NewNowNext Awards have a history with Gaga: The icon’s first-ever television performance was on the program’s first airing in 2008. This year’s show is set to feature a performance by the Grammy-nominated Robyn, alongside Oh Land and Wynter Gordon.

Awards ranging from Brink of Fame: Actor to Best New Indulgence will be handed out; nominees range from Willow Smith and Glee‘s Darren Criss to The Good Wife‘s Archie Panjabi and the TV show Pretty Little Liars. The 90-minute special will be taped in front of a live audience at Hollywood’s Avalon on April 7 and will air Monday, April 11, at 10 p.m. on Logo.

And the week begins with EW continuing its obsession with Lady Ca Ca.

When Lady Ca Ca farts you’ll find out about it first here at EW where it is all Lady Ca Ca all the time.

    • afdasdfa

are you saying california or christina aguilera?

  • Jeffrey

You might consider, DRG, that Gaga is simply newsworthy. Even non-“entertainment” news sites are reporting on her “farts.”

  • DRG

Non-entertainment “news” sites pandering to Americans obsession with over hyped celebrities is nothing new so that does not make their covering Lady Ca Ca news worthy. EW seems to have a policy over covering everything Lady Ca Ca does. They post something about her virtually everyday often even more than that.

    • Kk

Dude, you’re no exception to any Gaga obsession. I find your same, tired comments on each of these Gaga articles, going on about Caca this and fart that. The girl is obviously a success, and you, just like EW, are a simple demonstration that success.
Go buy one of her records and get a life.

    • Jay

Lady Ca Ca? What are you…12?

    • Ethan

Also, what is the “news” an entertainment-related news site should be covering if it can’t involve celebrities? It seems to me a network’s award being given to a culturally important pop star is almost certainly entertainment news that makes sense being covered by EW, whereas non-celebrity news about the world, about life, about technology, about business, etc, probably shouldn’t show up on this website whether or not Lady Gaga was in the news.

Hmm…Britney…Ok…Janet Jackson…definitely…but Paula Abdul???? And now Gaga. How come Madonna’s not in there? Why is the world throwing themselves at this woman? I don’t get it. Just be warned though that this daily Gaga coverage is still without the release of the album of the decade (her words) in May. By the way Jeffrey, those non-entertainment news sites that are reporting on her farts have really crapped out. Radiation is in the seawater but Gaga hasn’t been EVERYWHERE that she felt the need to release a COUNTRY VERSION of BTW??? Sorry but not everyone is falling for Gagoo. I’m on overload with her constant attention and pandering to the gays.

I am sure they asked Madonna but she turned it down thinking it was below her. I would bet she will say yes next year!

  • AES

If you don’t like it, don’t read it.

DRG, it’s Lady Gaga. She’s talented, interesting, and socially active. This is not some Real Housewife.

    • DRG

      Talented? ROTFLMAO!!!!

Lady Ca Ca’s only talent is for self-promotion.

      • Well…

Yes, she’s one of the most talented pop singer/songwriter/performers to come out in years. The real deal.

I get you don’t like her… but what DO you like?

  • z

I thought it said Lego awards at first and was perplexed.

    • tigger851

      nuttin’ wrong with legos!

  • johnsface

The credibility of your opinion goes out the window when you start talking about how she has no talent. She has a great voice, plays the piano well, and writes her own songs.
Whether you like her songs is another matter, but she clearly has talent.

  • Josh

    Keep on rocking Gaga!

  • True Blue

The haters who complain about her omnipresence, but can never refrain from clicking on articles about her should seriously fu¢k off.

  • CACA

    Lady garbage!

  • andrew

  • SaraS

WILLOW SMITH is nominated for something? Why don’t we nominate Rebecca Black? these awards are obviously ridiculous.

  • Blake

Wonder if she’ll show up. I watched last years and it was such a joke. First off it’s in a tiny place, looks like a small club in like D.C. and they gave awards to people like The Jersey Shore, and this year Willow Smith??? I think they have to do D list nominees cause anyone higher will not show up to accept lol.

  • Blake

And yeah, Madonna should have received the first award but she wouldn’t go there. I wonder if Janet showed up there.
