Bruce Springsteen and Steven “Little Steven” Van Zandt have known each other since they were teenagers at the Jersey Shore, but in the first nine years of Van Zandt’s radio show, Little Steven’s Underground Garage, the Boss has never visited. That is about to change. The old friends recently sat down in front of a microphone, and their musings will make up three episodes of the show, beginning this Friday, according to the AP. Reflecting on their early days, Van Zandt told the AP, “He was a very important friend. When you are a freak by yourself it’s one thing. But if there’s someone else, you don’t feel as freaky. It’s a big deal to have someone feel the same way you do.”
