Punk-pop veterans Simple Plan are back—and they’ve got Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo on their side.

“Can’t Keep Me Hands Off You” finds the Canadian fivesome joined by Weezer’s seemingly omnipresent frontman, who sings about (why not?) Fruit Roll-ups. This song—which will be on the band’s as-yet-untitled fourth album—is also going to pop up (punk-pop up?) in the upcoming live-action Disney film Prom, which stars Friday Night Lights’ Aimee Teegarden. The song can be purchased at their site.
After the new record’s June 21 release, Simple Plan heads to where every band worth their weight in BMX shoes goes for the summer—Warped Tour.

It’s alright. I feel like it sounds like their earlier stuff, really “pop punky”. I was hoping for a more grown up sound (or something?) but I guess this is alright. Definitely worth another listen. But EW – couldn’t you have gotten a higher quality?
i agree with you! it reminds me of the song they did on that mary kate and ashley movie.. a new york minute. although they changed the quality when i listened to it so it sounded fine. not quite what i expected after all these years.
