Just last week, the very pregnant pop diva Mariah Carey gave us a glimpse of her butterfly-covered baby bump via Twitter, and now she’s gone even further: In a (possibly bizarre?) twist on that famous Demi Moore Vanity Fair cover, Mariah Carey has bared it all in the final few days of her pregnancy for the cover of Life & Style magazine, which you can glimpse right here. One word: wowza.
Carey says she went nude for fans.”I was feeling very vulnerable about taking pictures at all right now, but then I didn’t want to miss this opportunity to document this once-in-a-lifetime experience,” Mariah told the magazine. “My ultimate goal was to share this incredibly personal moment with my true fans.”
The “We Belong Together” singer’s due date is in a few weeks, but contractions sent her to the hospital on March 27. “Now I have so much respect for mothers everywhere, especially those who’ve had difficult pregnancies or given birth to multiples,” said Carey, who’s having twins — a boy and a girl. “We need to have Mother’s Day once a week!”

I love how Mariah says she wanted to “share this incredibly personal moment with my true fans.” But, since she’s on the cover, she’s really sharing it with everyone in the grocery store check-out line. Even though I’m curently 5 months pregnant, I’m always disturbed by baby bumps and I never want to see them.

Considering how many other body parts she’s “shared” with her “true fans” over the years, I find myself underwhelmed by her latest efforts to bare herself to the public. Nothing wrong at all with being proud of your body, but can’t she shock the world for once by…I don’t know…wearing an oversized sweatshirt? Yawn.
It’s been DONE. It’s derivative, just like all the “sampling” singles she puts out. Waste of a genuine talent.

I think she is a beautiful woman and whether or not her intents were genuine with this photo, I have to say I actually think it is a really bad photo. She looks fine, but the position/pose is awkward. She looks uncomfortable rather than at home in her own skin. Plus, her hair is poorly placed. It looks like it is coming out from under her arms.
I swear she’s been pregnant for 2 yrs now! geez… but she looks beautiful.

Um, who cares? The stars over 40 who are getting pregnant certainly can do what they wish with their money. Didn’t buy Mariah a good weave, though…
Why is it that pregnant celebrities hormones go insane and make them go naked on magazine covers? Ordinary pregnant people do not think this is a must for family and friends, let alone perfect strangers – oh excuse me, “fans”.
