Beyonce did not steal anything. And it wasn’t Lorella’s original idea. The concept is from Tribe Inc. and Kenzo Design did the choreography. If Lorella had did the graphics, actually came up with it then that’s stealing. But hell, Kylie Minogue even did it before that Italian chick. So does that mean she stole it too? And I guess Kylie stole it from the Japanese who did it years ago too? This whole “artist stole from blah blah blah” story is getting kind of old. Not just with, Beyonce. With everybody from Gaga to Katy to Rihanna. Especially in this case where a design group was used and it’s THEIR IDEA!!!! One that has been used since the 80s. I swear if social media was around in the 80s, people would be ripping on MJ for “stealing” the concept of Thriller from Vincent Price or Prince for ” stealing” from Rick James or Madonna “stealing” from Marilyn Monroe. Its like some jackass thought they had a ” scandal” but didnt do research before they ran with it.

BEYONCE KICK HER BORING ASS, TEACH HER HOW TO DO IT RIGHT BEYONCE.

First let me say that BEYONCE is not my favorite artist from a vocal standpoint BUT that takes NOTHING away from her because I know that she is the ALL AROUNDN TOP DIVA in the game right now; and has been for a while. Entertainers like her are rare and few in between like Michael J. or Madonna. Still no matter what Beyonce will have HATERS! HATERS will always try to downplay her achievements and look for the negative in everything she does; its utterly absurd but it would really kill them to admit that BEYONCE is the greatest performer out there right now; NOBODY CAN TOUCH HER; NOBODY!

Need anyone ask the question did she steal it…YES. She’s been stealing songs, writing credits, idea’s for perfume, clothing designs, choreography, video concepts…and not just from one or two artist, but a whole LOTTA people. So everyone can say that Janet, Michael, Lady GaGa, Usher, Chris Brown may have mimicked and copied “ONE” idol of theirs, but this b*tch has gone on youtube, and stole a whole choreography, video concept and heck no if she wasn’t called on it, do you actually think she would’ve admitted to it…what she uses now is, “I was Inspired By”…thats’ her motive now. What makes it sad is, she has no shame, she’s slick, and she’s cunning, just like her daddy taught her. She doesn’t care about anyone but herself.

@Troy, about a year ago, I would’ve totally dismissed all that you’ve said, but after searching U-Tube and seeing these video’s especially the 3 or 4 parter called:
BEYONCE – The Biggest Copy Cat
and watching her performance on the Billboard Awards, I have to agree with you 100%. I have admired many female singers for over 20 years and I was skeptical about beyonce, especially during the times she was with Destinys Child and I saw how the other girls where treated and not allowed to say anything in interviews and if they attempted too, how beyonce would give them a dirty look, but I disregarded it, then when the other girls started to speak out, my feelings about her sort of changed, I didn’t care too much for her singing, but at the time she was the “it” girl and I started to like a few of her songs, her voice was annoying, but tolerable at times..but after seeing her over and over and over again and hooking up with GaGa who I love, there was this desperation in her attempt to stay relevant, even the Taylor Swift incident she didn’t seem sincere, it seemed like an act…so back to the Billboard awards and the copying of the concept took me to the video on U-Tube and it all started to fit together, she’s not original, and she is a copy-cat, nothing she’s done is a original. So I agree with you, and I agree that what she does and has done is not of talent, but of talent of copying.

I think they both are cool. Yes the two are similar but it was just perfect for Beyonce. The concept went great with the lyrics and the beat. Did Beyonce steal it? No. The chick didn’t own it. It wasn’t even created by her. Beyonce went and got it done by the people who created it which means it was given.

Honestly, I’m not a fan, because I always feel Beyonce is hiding her real characrter, and I have never seen anything orginal from her. This was a step up for her, and the video is fantastic, I can appreaciate her for the first time since she left Destiny’s Child. She is a entertainer, but she lacks originality, and emotions when she sings slow songs and her lyrics are weak. I hope she moves into a more original Beyonce, her performance on BMA was the best ever, oh! and its time for her to put some clothes on….

  • HelloKitty

Beyonce is not the best out their, she is pushing the same beat as the other artist, she is predictable and typical, we know what to expect form Beyonce when she performs. And were not missing anything, we know we will see breast and cheeks, and her Texan harmorny, and her inability to connect with people when she speaks, she is guarded and not sure if she is saying the right thing…but hey she getting paid, and her credit is no better than mine…

I’m sorry, but with her money and resources- ripping off Cuccarini and Major Lazer is inexcusable. It would not be stealing if she had given credit BEFORE she was confronted. Lady Gaga is a blatant Grace Jones rip off- but who’s complaining? I looooooooved beyonce’s performance but then when I saw it was a rip off it made me a little sad. I thought she was above this. That’s all.

This kills me because I genuinely LOVE Bey but the word ‘inspired’ insinuates there is substantial re-interpretation and to me it looks like the same video with a bit more money spent, even the dancers are from another you tube hit video. As an artist if you are going to be inspired you need to take it further especially if you are working with the same team, the video elements are too similar. I don’t see why a room full of creatives couldn’t have created a new video concept that did not look so much like the original. I think she is a woman in artistic control of what she does and as such shouldn’t be repeating other peoples successes. Bey live up to your reputation.
