Taylor Swift postponed tonight’s sold-out show in Louisville, Ky., due to an illness. She tweeted the sad news to her fans this afternoon, writing, “Louisville, I so sorry to have to postpone this show to Oct 11. This is my first time having to do this. I’m so, so sorry.”

Fans seem more concerned than upset. #getwelltaylor is one of Twitter’s trending topics right now.

It is very sweet how she seems to genuinely feel bad about cancelling the show. The fact that this is the first time she’s cancelled a show tells me she must be really sick to perform. Get well soon!

    • selena

she looks like Bridgit Mendler, maybe they could send her in Taylor’s place

    • Roger

I’m not a doctor but I would love to give her a physical exam. :)

    • a$$hole

Jesus will this girl go away permanently already????? :(

      • Moth

        nah, you wish hahaha

  • Dante

In the official release statement it says that she was literally forced to cancel. She’s played shows sick before. Knowing Taylor, it would have to be something extremely detrimental to her overall health to dissapoint her fans. Atleast she rescheduled the show. Still sucks though. I’m now wondering if her playing her show in the rain at Gillette Stadium has anything to do with her current illness. Speedy recovery Tay.

Yea, there’s a rumor going around that at her previous show the night before, she only had a few fans at her T-party, didn’t stay very long and couldn’t talk. Heard she was in tears when she left. So sad, she’s so connected with her fans and really didn’t want to dissapoint them.

I was at the show the night before in knoxville. When she talked she was really hoarse but she sang pretty good. she still put on a heck of a show!! It was awesome. rumors are after the show she had a sign around her neck saying vocal rest and she was back there for 5 minutes and was escorted out by an ambulance but I dont know if thats true or not.but she was struggling to talk.

Im a 44 yr old dad who took my daughter to your knox tn show yesterday, you were and r amazing. We sang every word to every song, and were deeply touched by your resolve even when you were having throat trouble during last kiss. Even after that you finished the show strong and amazing. W love u.

    • LOL

We don’t go to shows to hear you sing, we go to hear the singer sing. Next time, shut your pie hole.

      • KSG

Agreed! We went to see Kenny Chesney in Rupp Arena in May and all we heard were the group of five or six teenage girls right behind us singing along to EVERY song. Everybody pays for their tickets, not just you. They deserve the right to enjoy the show and hear the person they are paying to listen to. It’s not just about you.

    • hey

Um…richard, you do know that she (“Tay” as some other dork called her) isnt reading this. Just wanted to make sure, since it sounded like you may have thought you were writing a letter to her personally. #getalife

    • Haha

      @LOL and hey,
when you go to a Taylor swift concert, you sing, dance, cry, jump up and down and scream like there’s no tomorrow. you have no right to tell him to shut up. and so what if he’s talking like he personally knows Taylor, her fans are so close to her that’s why. #Ithinkyoushouldgetalife

      • LOL

        Shut your pie hole, rube.

      • R.T.

        @LOL
If you’re going to sit on a Taylor Swift concert, then might as well go home. Everyone is dancing and singing along. They can to whatever they want. Just saying.

      • LOL

They can’t do whatever they want. I paid for my ticket, too. I want to hear the singer, not your stupid a$$.

  • Tina

Took my twin grandaughters to see show did not hear till we got to louisville but all they cared about is that Taylor gets better, october will be here soon.

  • dani

I hope you get better :) Im so glad it is being rescheldueled…. I have been lookin forward to this for a long time!! sorry you got sick :(

  • Jed

It’s rare musicians actually care about their fans but her health is more important right now than performing.

  • ROY

heard that she was forced to cancel the show and left the previous show afterwards in an ambulance. so sad she was upset and crying.
come on Taylor, sometimes you put yourself first before the fans. they will understand.

  • Kyle

knowing Taylor, she’s devastated. she put her fans first so much, sometimes she forgets herself. we hope she’s okay. me and my friends are supposed to be at her show tonight but were more concerned to her health. were not mad at all. feel better and we can’t wait in October!!!!!

  • Diane

A friend of mine claims to have seen her at the U2 concert in Nashville tonight. However, he isnt responding to everyones questions regarding this “tidbit”.

  • Matt

Get well soon! can’t wait in August at Staples Center!

  • Fithri

    Hope she’s okay.

  • eatyourheartout

Get better soon, Taylor! You really need to learn put yourself first sometimes.

  • pickles

    I love her

  • pickles

    taylor is a w h o r e.

  • Lily

Several of you touched on why I don’t go to concerts. I pay my hard-earned money for a ticket to go listen to people stand up in front of their seats and scream the whole damn time. TV’s much better. I can actually hear the performance.

    • Moth

but there’s nothing like a live Taylor swift show. go, you’ll not regret it :)
