Blink-182 release their first new song in eight years, 'Up All Night': Check it out now

The last time Blink-182 released new material, people loved Harry Potter movies and talking about Britney Spears.

Yes, in some ways, the world hasn’t changed a whole lot since 2003. And Blink sound similarly unaltered on their new track, the thunderous, midtempo rocker “Up All Night.”

“Up All Night” is the lead single from the trio’s forthcoming, currently untitled studio CD. Back in February, drummer Travis Barker told EW that the album sounded like “where you would think Blink would be right now if you left off with our last album with us, and you follow[ed] each of our careers, and you know what we’ve done [since].”

You can check out “Up All Night” below. Give it a listen and tell us what you think:

Yawn. It’s got one decent riff, but that’s about it. The vocals and lyrics are weak and cliched.

I’m a huge blink-182 fan and thought the song was just ok. Nothing special and doesn’t really stack up well against the other singles they released in the past. But I’m looking forward to hearing the rest of the CD.

This is so much better than any of their solo projects thus far. Good job!

I kind of like that. I think it sounds like Blink-182, but not exactly as they sounded 10 years ago. They aren’t singing about high school parties; they’re singing about the worries of parenthood now.

New album is called neighborhoods and release on 9/27.

Where did you hear that from?

Tom, has kinda let himself go xD. But who cares. their still the best. this song is also god. I’ll have to listen for a while for it to grow on me. Took me a while to like “i miss you”, but, it’s one of my fav.

I’ve been a fan since Dude Ranch, and I’ve gotta say I’m not impressed. They had aaaaall this time to blow us away, and instead of giving us a blink 182 song, they give us an AVA ft. Mark Hoppus song. So dissapointing. Hopefully this does not reflect the rest of the album.

sounds exactly like Angels and Airwaves…with a better drummer…

This is exactally what I thought. It sounds way too much like A&A and not enough like old school Blink.

It sounds like AVA meets +44 with some hip hop beats thrown in. AKA, it sounds like everythng theyve done individually, smashed together. its kik ass.

It’s good, but not amazing. I loved their last album and it just doesn’t quite have the emotion that the last one did. Songs like Miss You and such were so incredible. Def. looking forward to the rest of the album though.
