No brainer… I can’t wait to hear what Haley does next.
This is awesome & welcome news–I’m really excited that Haley was signed to Interscope & will be releasing an album (which I’ll buy). Hopefully, she has strong backing & a clear artistic vision (I hope she releases material similar to Adelle or Corrine Bailey Rae)!

A low level contract would’ve been with one of UMG’s smaller subsidiaries. No accounting for taste, we all hear things differently. Been watching Idol since the beginning, and never has a contestant captured me with their voice the way Haley has…and trust that I’m far from the only one who feels that way.

the sign that people hate her but not because she is boring or anything, means she is doing fine because she actually has artistry. She is also a top quality singer. Her fans surpass the haters by thousands I would say, she has a mad following. She was also the best contestant of the season, the country kids were not really better than her. They were just country and that’s what they were looking for. And she is marketable, she had 7 songs in the top 200 of itunes, her EP is having steady sales. I believe her own music is gonna be high quality. FINALLY she gets signed to Interscope, how is that low level to the other three? Pia signed to the same thing.

Awesome news! Haley was easily the most interesting and creative contestant on AI this past season who has the vocal chops to back that up. I still regularly listen to her AI songs that I downloaded. Can’t wait to hear what she comes out with and hope great success for her!
I have nothing against the fine country singers that took the top to slot of American Idol. That said, Haley was totally unique. Her facial expressions went along with the song she was singing, as did her clothes, her movements, and her voice. She started off strong with the Alesia Keys song, drifted off, then took over the show week after week while the judges praised everyone but her, and yet the judges gave her more standing ovations. Go figure. Perhaps Haley’s versatility is her greatest strength. I became a huge fan, and I hope she and the other contestants have great careers.
Great htat Haley Reinhart has signed to Interscope Records! That’s four so far that have gotten on labels! Kind of longer for her, about 2 months after the season ended. But I agree with the last comment that people want to hear singers in the vein of Adele and the late Amy Winehouse with the raspy soul singing.
Who’s the other 2 losers besides Haley and Pia that loser label Interscope Records signed?

Way to go Haley! Loved her voice and thought she was more interesting/unique/artistic than other idols.
She wasn’t my favorite on the show, but she was terrific at the Idols Tour. I just hope that James Durbin gets a record contract too.
No disrespect to Haley. She deserves a contract as much as the next person — and more so that someone like Lee DeWyze. But…where is Dia Frampton’s contract?
