Taylor Swift is in the middle of a massive, sold-out, record-setting, Beatle-beating tour for her 2010 album Speak Now (which, if you’ll recall, sold a million copies in a single week like it was 1999 or something).
So it makes sense that her latest music video would give viewers a taste of said stage show. New clip “Sparks Fly” features a pretty healthy cross-section of Swift’s Speak Now tour, from the flying balcony she rides during “Love Story” to the giant AC/DC-like bell she rings during “Haunted” to the faux-hoedown that shows up for “Mean.”
And of course, there are shots of the giant glowing tree she sits under during her acoustic set, which finds her breaking out covers of tunes by local heroes (when EW went to go see the show in New Jersey, she busted Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer” and Bruce Springsteen’s “Dancing in the Dark”). What do you think of Swift’s latest video? Does it make you want to go see the show? And isn’t “Sparks Fly” sort of the best song from Speak Now? Sound off in the comments below!
