While she’s waiting on her new edition, Beyoncé’s fronting New Edition.
At least, that’s what it looks like in this new video for “Love on Top,” which finds Queen Béy in a big-windowed warehouse-like room, leading a five-man dance team in apparent tribute to New Edition’s “If It Isn’t Love” video.
Filmed pre-pregnancy (or at least pre-showing, which probably isn’t gonna help those fake baby-bump rumors), the video also shows Beyonce shimmying in suits that look like the one she wore during her famous tummy-rubbing reveal on the VMAs, while her Bé-boys back her up with their best Temptations moves.
Recently asked what was on her bucket list, she said, “I want to create a boy band.” Well, now she’s got one, and there’s another member on the way.

Reminds me too much of the video for New Edition’s If It Isn’t Love from 1988. It just wasn’t really driven from her. It felt a bit cheap.
I don’t think it’s cheap. It’s a tribute to that iconic video and one of her favorite groups. Brought back memories when she recaptured it.
Is this the 4th or 5th single/bomb from this album? Are they just going to release every song hoping for a hit?

This is my favorite song off of 4. The rest of the album is hit or miss. Every song is either pretty ok or totally blah. Not a lot of great material coming from her this time around.

I know that warehouse room theme from New Edition’s 1988 If It Isn’t Love music video! She goes old school and way back with this video! She has said that she is a fan of NE and wanted to recapture it in the video!
Beyonce is so Talented, Beautiful and she can do all that dancing while pregnant shows how good she is.
