Whitney Houston's autopsy results on security hold, coroner's office confirms singer found in bathtub

UPDATE: Los Angeles Coroner Assistant Chief Ed Winter confirmed to People that Houston’s body was found in her bathtub at the Beverly Hills Hilton and that “there were no visible signs of trauma on the body.” No other details are being released at this time.

EARLIER: An autopsy on Whitney Houston was indeed performed one day following her death Saturday, but don’t expect any information to be released on the results today: The Beverly Hills Police Department confirms to EW that they are not disclosing any information about Houston’s cause of death at this time. According to the Associated Press, neither are coroner officials, who have been asked by detectives to place a security hold on the results. Beverly Hills Police Lt. Mark Rosen told the Associated Press that the public might learn information about Houston’s death on Monday, pending detective permission.

Houston passed away Saturday of undisclosed causes in Beverly Hills, Calif., shortly before she was scheduled to appear at Clive Davis’ Grammys party; The ceremony will be celebrating Houston’s life and legacy via a performance from Jennifer Hudson.
