Whitney Houston's isolated vocal track on 'How Will I Know': A true once-in-a-generation voice

It should go without saying that Whitney Houston had a once-in-a-generation voice, the kind of soaring, peerless pipes that somehow made the highest, piercing notes sound effortlessly sung. But sometimes a reminder of such things is still helpful. Within hours of the news of Houston’s death hitting the Internet, a recording of her isolated vocal track on her number one charting hit “How Will I Know” went viral after comedian and radio host Jake Fogelnest posted it to his blog on Tumblr. Check out the recording below, and try not to get goosebumps:
