This year marks the Old 97′s 20th anniversary, but don’t think that the Texas alt-country stalwarts are riding off into the sunset.

The band has announced they’ll be releasing a new album this spring with guest appearances from the Replacements’ Tommy Stinson on guitar and Jon Rauhouse (Neko Case, Jakob Dylan) on lap steel, and you can hear the first single “Longer Than You’ve Been Alive” exclusively here.

The track comes off of their upcoming full-length Most Messed Up, which is set for an April release. As the title implies, the song’s lyrics play up the band’s seniority — with frontman Rhett Miller singing, “We’ve been doing this longer than you’ve been alive/Propelled by some mysterious drive.”

Take a listen to the new single below:

Most Messed Up is due out April 29.
