NKOTBSB was only the beginning.

New Men Kids on the Block Jordan, Jonathan, Joey, Donnie, and Danny revealed on The View today that they’ll release a new album, 10, this April. The boys also announced that they’re planning a national tour this summer with a few very special guests — newly reunited boy band 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men, the R&B group single-handedly responsible for 87 percent of babies born in 1995. They’re calling the event “The Package Tour,” because “NKOTB98DB2M” would look weird on a t-shirt. Here’s an actual quote from the press release:

“Ladies, we’re coming for you,” said NKOTB member Donnie Wahlberg. “This is going to be the craziest year yet — the single, the album, the tour with 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men … We can’t wait to give fans ‘The Package!’”

The boys also had a special announcement for Today hosts Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie: they’re having a baby movie!

“We are going to do our first-ever movie, and it’s going to be in 3-D,” Niall announced.
It’s coming to cinemas near you on the 30th of August, 2013.”

Well, then! Get ready to go through 1D-mania all over again next year. But for now, take a glimpse at their Today performance in the video below:

Sorry, but: Oops, they did it again!

(Again, so sorry.) After calling Voice popster Christina Aguilera “a total bitch” in a radio interview last week and semi-apologizing for it, the British boy band the Wanted are now gossiping about Britney Spears behind her back — literally.

The group showed up on New York’s Fresh 102.7 this morning to talk about their experiences with Spears, whom they opened for in Manchester last fall.

“We signed a confidentiality thing that we should never say anything about what happened, but let’s tell it anyway,” said the Wanted’s Tom Parker, the same dude who lobbed the B word at Xtina. READ FULL STORY »

Big Time Rush's 'Elevate' music video: Watch a 60-second sneak peek here! -- EXCLUSIVE VIDEO

Big-Time-Rush

Nickelodeon boy band Big Time Rush’s latest music video — for “Elevate,” the title song from their latest album — will premiere on the cable network this Saturday at 9 p.m. during the airing of Big Time Special, a one-hour glimpse at the boys lives while touring. But you don’t have to wait until then to get a glimpse of the video: EW has an exclusive 60-second sneak peek at it today.

Fittingly, since it debuts during a tour special, the “Elevate” video is tour-based and incorporates performances, as well as fan footage, from while the four guys — Kendall Schmidt, 21; Logan Henderson, 22; James Maslow, 21; and Carlos Pena, 22 — were on the road. “We can’t wait for our fans to watch music video for ‘Elevate’ because it’s a collaboration between our fans and us!” Henderson tells EW. “When our fans tune into the music special they may catch a glimpse of themselves from one of our shows from the Better With U tour. “

Adds Schmidt: “There’s nothing more exciting to me then seeing all of our fans in this video — every show is so exciting — and I’m glad we can share a little piece with anyone who hasn’t seen BTR live yet!”

Enjoy the sneak peek of Big Time Rush’s “Elevate” here:

A quick glance at the last few weeks of Billboard‘s Hot 100 makes it clear that a handful of songs are ready to break Kelly Clarkson and Adele’s stronghold on the upper tier of the pop charts.

This week, following a cover on the Regionals episode of Glee, British boy band The Wanted‘s “Glad You Came” shot up from number 23 all the way to number 5 on the Hot 100 (not to brag, but we diiid say, “‘Glad You Came’ feels like a potential radio/club titan poised to become a hit” back in early February), and it’s likely that the boy-band jam will continue its ascent in the weeks to come.

But “Glad You Came” isnt the only new track making waves — a number of other buzzworthy songs are climbing up the chart as well. Take a look at a few especially notable performances from the past two weeks: READ FULL STORY »
