HBO teases Beyonce doc with fierce trailer -- VIDEO

The countdown to B’Doc’Day 2013 has officially begun.

On Feb. 16, 2013, HBO will air an “intimate feature-length” documentary directed by Beyoncé, about Beyoncé, and for Beyoncé superfans. (The film was originally supposed to air Feb. 13, but clearly Bey wants to give you the option of watching it while eating discounted Valentine’s chocolate.)

And while this newly released, 25-second teaser doesn’t really reveal anything explosive about the movie — did you suspect B would dance and wade through crowds of adoring fans? — it does give us a taste of some very Sasha Fierce-ian narration: “I always battle with, how much do I reveal about myself?” Beyoncé intones over footage of one of her eyes slowly opening. “If I’m scared, be scared. Allow it. Release it.” Then you and your boo and your boo boo can go ridin’. Watch the clip below:

Album sales: Rihanna wins her first No. 1 with 'Unapologetic,' Adele hits 10 million

Maybe all those topless tweets are working?

The first-week sales figures for Rihanna latest record are in, and the news is good: Billboard reports that Unapologetic has landed at No. 1 this week, a career first. The album — her seventh in seven years — brought the singer her strongest sales week ever, with 238,000 copies sold.

This breaks Rihanna’s streak of having the most No. 1 hit songs without a No. 1 album. (Last week, her latest single “Diamonds” became her 12th to top the Hot 100, passing Whitney Houston to become the artist with the fourth-most top singles.)

“We are so proud and happy to deliver Rihanna her first #1 album in the U.S.,” Island Def Jam president Steve Bartels said in a statement. “Taking an unusually short runway and turning it to an advantage — like the unprecedented 777 Tour — is a testament to the teamwork, ingenuity, ethic, and belief in the legacy of this artist that showed in every single hand that touched this project.”

If you haven’t already OD’d on her latest album The Truth About Love, the singer is getting some royal treatment over on VH1 with an updated Behind the Music: Pink at 10 p.m. and her new episode of Storytellers airs at 11 p.m. EW has an exclusive clip from each show below.

The first clip details the changes in Pink’s life since she had her daughter, Willow Sage Hart, in June 2011. The second is a special treat — a stellar performance of Pink’s moving song “Who Knew,” which was taped in L.A. in August for her episode of Storytellers.

TLC won't stop chasing waterfalls, plans first new album in 10 years

Break out your baggy pants and bra tops — TLC is making a comeback album.

At least, T and C are. Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins announced this weekend in Liverpool that they’re hard at work on a series of projects — including their first new album in 10 years, a tour, and a VH1 biopic that will dramatize the events already told in Behind the Music‘s best-ever episode. While this news is exciting, it’s also bittersweet for fans who know the girl group can never truly be what it once was — TLC’s third member, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, died in a car crash in Honduras 10 years ago.

Still, the remaining members seem confident about their new album. “We’re going to still sound like TLC, evolving to whatever level we need to be at this time,” T-Boz told Rolling Stone. READ FULL STORY »

Madonna zings Lady Gaga: 'Imitation is the highest form of flattery'

“I’m going to dedicate this next song … to Lady Gaga.”

Uh-oh! The last time Madonna began a sentence like that onstage, she ended up taking a catty swipe at nemesis Elton John. And as it happens, she went on to give Gaga — a noted Elton John partisan — the same treatment when dedicating the song “Masterpiece” to her at an Atlantic City concert last Saturday.

“You wanna know something? I love her,” the Material Girl said of Mother Monster. “I love her. I do love her.” But wait for it… “Imitation is the highest form of flattery.” Zing!

But Madge followed up her backhanded compliment by prophesying that “one day, very soon, we’re going to be on stage together. Just you wait. You think I’m kidding? I love Lady Gaga.”

An EW interview with Pink: The star on her 'F-- You' account and why she'll never do a reality show

Watch your back, Suze Orman: There’s another tough-talking platinum blond dispensing sound financial advice.

In an interview in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly (on stands today) the 32-year-old pop iconoclast reveals that, on the advice of her former label head (and current X Factor judge) L.A. Reid, she maintains a special “F— You” account where she deposits more than half of her earnings. “When I first started, L.A. Reid said, ‘Make sure you put money into your F- - - You account. That’s the account that, one day when people ask you to do things you don’t want to do, you say “F- - - you.” ’ I make sure that my F- - - You account is okay, so that you never have to make decisions based on money. I feel like that’s where people kill their careers.”

The “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)” singer says it’s one of the ways she measures whether her career is going well. “I’m never the kind of person who’s sitting at home reading the charts and basing how I feel about myself or even my career on stats. Madonna forgives Elton John, sort of

“I’d like to dedicate this next song to a Mr. Elton John.”

Normally, that would be a pleasant thing to hear someone say. But when it’s coming from Madonna’s mouth? Not so much!

Madge reserved some time during a recent concert in France to address her ongoing feud with Sir Elton. (If you’re behind, this account of John comparing Madonna to a “fairground stripper” should bring you up to speed!) At first, the video below makes it look like she’s ready to make amends.

“I know he’s a big fan of it,” Madonna says of the song she’s dedicating to John. “And I know he’s a big fan of mine. And you know? I forgive him. Gotta start somewhere.”

Her tone was terse, but all the right words were all there – so is it for real? Probably not! The song she ended up playing for Elton happened to be “Masterpiece” — the very song that triumphed over Elton John’s “Hello Hello” at this year’s Golden Globe Awards. In another word: burn.

Mariah Carey's 'Triumphant' video takes her to the boxing ring -- VIDEO

Mimi may be emancipated, but she’s on the ropes — into the boxing ring, specifically — in the just released a new video for her current single “Triumphant (Get ‘Em),” which also features rappers Rick Ross and Meek Mill.

As with anything from Carey’s universe, there’s a distinct level of Mimi fabulosity to the clip. Dressed to the nines in a couple of chic, midriff-baring dresses — girl looks good! — Carey is a part of rapper Meek Mill’s entourage (he plays the boxer at the center of the action). Rick Ross is also a sundry member of the boxer’s crew. Do you get it? The winner of the match will be triumphant!

The best part is when Carey plays the role of a “boxing ring girl” (yes, this is a technical term — I looked it up) and holds up various cards announcing rounds. The oddest part is that, while Carey is clearly the star of the show, she relinquishes lots of precious screen time over to Meek Mill and Rick Ross for their rapping interludes. Carey would be nothing more than a pretty-girl afterthought if it weren’t for those card-carrying moments and the cuts to her in front of a — you guessed it — glittery screen (inventive!). But, in the end, it’s all very fitting for the song’s vibe.

Leona Lewis featuring Childish Gambino — “Trouble”
Leona Lewis has been a very bad girl. She drives her lover to drink, smoke and get belligerent in the bedroom, and all she has to say is “I told you so”  on the icy “Trouble.” Fortunately, Lewis gets by with a little help from her friends – Scottish chanteuse Emeli Sandé co-wrote the song, and Childish Gambino guest raps as the victim boyfriend, busting in like an unexpected Spotify ad. Nelly Furtado — “Parking Lot”
When Nelly isn’t breaking out viral K-Pop video dance moves, she’s showing off new tracks from her upcoming album, The Spirit Indestructible. Like its predecessors “Big Hoops (Bigger the Better)” and the album’s title track, the latest single is a Darkchild collaboration that buzzes like a bee while Furtado longs for her youthful days of killing time in parking lots and … mud-dancing in a barn? Breaking news: Ciara doesn’t have a lot of friends — or so she sings on the carefree “Livin’ It Up,” which may or may not be from the upcoming One Woman Army. Melanie C featuring Emma Bunton — “I Know Him so Well”
If a Spice Girls reunion is what you want, what you really really want, feel free to hold your breath. Madonna concert in Russia threatened, U.S. Embassy responds

Madonna has made a career out of pushing buttons and poking at hornets’ nests, but her latest piece of controversy goes far beyond flashing her naughty bits, mucking with Nazi imagery, or deflecting catty barbs from Elton John.

In the wake of Madonna’s support for imprisoned Russian punk band Pussy Riot (who are currently on trial for staging a protest and criticizing Vladimir Putin), the U.S. Embassy in Russia has encouraged fans attending Thursday’s show in St. Petersberg to be extra vigilant and alert following credible threats of violence.
