That One Time When Miley Cyrus Rode A Penis Balloon -- Warning: NSFW

This weekend in London, Miley Cyrus rode (among other things) a giant inflatable penis onstage at the nightclub Heaven. She must be fully recovered from the “severe allergic reaction to antibiotics” that caused her to cancel the rest of her Bangerz Tour. After seeing these pictures I feel like I could use a round of antibiotics.

She was at Heaven’s G-A-Y night last Friday to celebrate a friend’s birthday. According to MTV News, as part of a toast she spouted this into the mic: “Everyone’s a little bit gay. Some of us just a little bit more than others.” She also insinuated that if your intended partner doesn’t want to get down — gay or otherwise — to “sprinkle something in their drink. That’s what I always do.” Er…no. Never do that.

Miley Cyrus goes topless in 'Adore You' artwork

She’s just being Miley, y’all! Cyrus is going wigged and topless on the new cover art for her single Adore You.

The 21-year-old singer took to Twitter on Tuesday to share the photo of herself reclining and looking into the camera as she promoted the  newly-released remix of Adore You featuring French DJ Cedric Gervais.

The release of the image comes just days after Cyrus launched her Bangerz tour in Vancouver, where the former Disney star showcased a number of costumes in keeping with her post-Hannah Montana proclivity for onesies and gymnast-style leotards.

To be clear, Cyrus going topless is not new: the 21-year-old posed without a shirt for the March issue of Vogue Germany in a Marilyn Monroe-style spread, complete with bleach blonde hair and red lips. The style chameleon also skipped torso garments for the W magazine’s March cover. And of course, made this. But Cyrus denies that going topless – or indulging in any so-called antics – are part of a bigger manifesto.

“You know, it’s like, I’m not making any kind of statement,” Cyrus divulged to MSNBC host Ronan Farrow, who interviewed her for W. “Anyone that hates on you is always below you, because they’re just jealous of what you have.”

Check out the video of the remix for Adore You  – which features alternate scenes of  Cyrus  lounging in bed and writhing around in a bath tub – below. READ FULL STORY

Five reasons everyone should see the Miley Cyrus 'Bangerz' tour

As Miley Cyrus herself surely anticipated, the internet has embraced her simulating fellatio on a man in a Bill Clinton costume as the micro-scandal to help promote the start of the Bangerz Tour. I was there in Vancouver on Valentines Day, and I completely missed this bit of theater. Probably because I was in the throes of sensory overload—the kind of state one hopes for but so often finds missing from a proper arena show. (READ THE FULL REVIEW HERE.)

In the issue of Entertainment Weekly arriving on stands on Thursday, I write all about the mind-frying experience that is Miley’s new tour, and how persuasively she sells the genre-bending songs from Bangerz live. But here are five reasons to buy a ticket, even—or especially—if you think Miley’s little better than a human meme. And they have almost nothing to do with fake Clinton fellatio.

The crowd: If you’ve got any curiosity at all about teen girls and what intrigues and excites them in popular culture in 2014, you can see thousands of them respond to Miley in real time. (There weren’t only teen girls at the show in Vancouver, but as grown man who wore khakis there, I can tell you that I was very much in the minority.) They’re entertained, rather than dully influenced, by the spectacle of the teenage id. And they get to enjoy it free from the looming eye of boys, schoolmasters, and parents. Most importantly, they’re fun—fully engaged and raring to party.

The comedy: Miley, a great Saturday Night Live host with years of lowbrow comedy training in the Disney coal mines, sends herself up better than anyone else could. She starts the show by sliding down a giant tongue, landing smartly, and giving a friendly wave, then proceeds to rain down gag props and costumes, taking every opportunity to undercut her own tawdry image. How can you not laugh when she wears a shirt covered by her own face, with her actual butt sticking out right under it? READ FULL STORY

Billy Ray Cyrus makes an 'Achy Breaky Heart' sequel and it's just as bad as you think it is -- VIDEO

Billy-Ray-Cyrus-Achy-Breaky-Heart.jpg

Maybe Billy Ray Cyrus wanted to give his daughter Miley a little break from the spotlight. Or maybe he has lost his mind. Those seem like the only two reasonable explanations for “Achy Breaky 2,” the newly released hip-hop version of Cyrus’ 1992 hit single “Achy Breaky Heart”

Billy Ray teamed up with rapper Buck 22, the son of legendary R&B singer Dionne Warwick, for the song. The music video involves Larry King and alien abduction. What more do you need? (Other than ear plugs.) READ FULL STORY
